Terms of Service

1. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to create an account or subscribe. Provide an email you control, keep sign-in links and device credentials private, and approve only plugin connections you initiated. Contact support about unauthorized access. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice are available before signup.

2. Free trial and automatic renewal

Eligible new subscribers can start a seven-day free trial with a payment method. If you have already used a trial, billing begins immediately; the account page and Checkout show the applicable offer.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically becomes a paid subscription at US $7.99 per month plus applicable tax. It then renews and charges your payment method monthly until you cancel. Checkout shows the charge and trial information before you confirm. By subscribing, you authorize those recurring charges. A trial does not require an immediate subscription charge, although your bank or payment provider may perform a payment-method verification.

We do not automatically enroll existing accounts into paid subscriptions. Changes to recurring prices or material plan terms will be communicated before they apply, with consent or cancellation options where required.

3. Cancellation and billing support

Sign in at nob.audio/download, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the billing portal. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Cancellation normally stops renewal at the end of the current trial or paid period, with access continuing until that period ends.

If you cannot access the portal, email admin@nob.audio from your account email and request cancellation. Removing the plugin, disconnecting a device or deleting browser cookies does not cancel billing.

For billing errors, unauthorized charges or refund requests, contact support promptly with your account email and invoice reference. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances and applicable law; cancellation does not itself reverse an already completed payment. These terms do not exclude statutory refunds, withdrawal rights or other mandatory consumer protections. Where Stripe or Link acts as the seller or merchant of record, the transaction’s payment terms and receipt also apply.

4. AI generation allowance

The subscription includes a limited AI-generation allowance, not unlimited generation. The trial has its own allowance; a paid billing month has a separate allowance that resets for each paid period. Unused allowance does not carry forward and cannot be redeemed for cash.

The number of requests available varies with request complexity and model processing. Allowance is measured against the underlying AI processing cost, so there is no fixed guaranteed number of patches. Remaining allowance and reset information are available through the connected account’s allowance interface. When the allowance is exhausted, new AI requests pause until the next eligible period. The service may also pause requests while usage or billing is being reconciled. You are not automatically charged extra for exceeding the included allowance.

Subscription or allowance limits affect cloud generation. They do not charge you to play existing local patches or operate the synth’s manual controls. If the allowance or its display is unclear, contact support before subscribing. Material reductions to a paid plan’s allowance will be disclosed before they apply.

5. Software and third-party components

You may install and use the NOB software we provide on devices you control for personal or commercial music creation, subject to these terms and the applicable software licenses. Do not share account credentials, bypass cloud-service access controls or redistribute third-party material without the necessary rights.

Third-party and open-source components remain governed by their own licenses and notices. Those licenses control where they conflict with these terms; nothing here restricts rights granted by an applicable open-source license or mandatory law. Test builds, including the Windows test build, can have compatibility limitations. Back up important projects before testing them.

6. Prompts, patches and acceptable use

You retain your rights in material you provide. You authorize us and the service providers described in the Privacy Policy to process the prompts, patch context and feedback you submit as needed to deliver the service and handle support. Do not submit material you lack permission to use, compromise other accounts, overload the service or use it unlawfully.

AI results can be inaccurate, unsuitable or similar to results delivered to other users. We do not guarantee uniqueness, copyright eligibility or freedom from third-party claims. Review results before publishing them. We do not claim ownership of your music merely because you used Nob.

7. Availability and consumer protections

Nob depends on external infrastructure and AI services, so availability and generation speed can vary. We may maintain, update or suspend cloud access for security, unlawful use or unpaid subscriptions. We will provide reasonable notice of material service changes or account termination when practicable and honor refunds or remedies required by law.

Except for express promises and rights required by law, the software and AI results are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or fitness for every purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. There is no mandatory arbitration clause or waiver of statutory consumer rights in these terms.

8. Changes and contact

The effective date identifies this version. We will communicate material changes affecting an existing subscription before they apply and obtain renewed agreement where required. New checkout sessions record the accepted terms version and recurring-billing authorization. Existing purchases are not retroactively treated as acceptance of a new version.
