Product overview
nob by Synthius Labs
nob is a prompt-driven wavetable synthesizer for macOS and Windows. Users can describe a sound, audition generated variations, and refine a patch with follow-up prompts. Patches use the instrument's own synthesis engine and remain editable through its controls.
Custom performance knobs can be created from written descriptions, while a visual signal-chain view helps users explore the sound.
The synthesis engine includes dual wavetable oscillators with FM, hard sync, ring modulation, and waveform warping; up to eight unison voices; sub and noise sources; and low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch, comb, and formant filters.
Modulation includes four tempo-syncable LFOs, three envelopes, four macros, and a 16-slot matrix. Sample tools support drag-and-drop loading, keyboard mapping, reverse playback, loop crossfades, and sample-to-wavetable capture. Nine reorderable effects include EQ, distortion, compressor, Hyper, delay, chorus, phaser, reverb, and flanger.
nob is available as VST3 for macOS and Windows and Audio Unit for macOS. A subscription costs US$7.99 per month plus applicable tax, with a seven-day free trial for eligible first-time subscribers. A payment method is required; cancel anytime.
